Heather happily joined the Cook Periodontics Family in June 2024. She is originally from Surfside Beach, SC and moved to Wilmington in 2007, after graduating dental assisting school. Having over 17 years of dental experience, Heather loves making connections with patients to make them feel comfortable from their first phone call all the way through their dental journey. She likes to focus on the patient’s overall dental health, and ensuring they have all their questions answered. In her free time, she can be found enjoying her time with her fiancé, Charlie, and their kids, Kaleb (15) and Layla (5). As a family, they love being outdoors and always going on adventures. Fun fact, Heather and her fiancé have the same birthday!

Michelle became part of the Cook Periodontics family in January 2018. Michelle is originally from Long Island, New York and made Wilmington her home in 2005. With over 20 years of medical and dental experience, Michelle's main focus is patient care -- which includes everything from the initial phone call to the healthy smile her patients receive after completing treatment with our doctors. With a laugh that is contagious, Michelle is well-known for keeping everyone smiling at the office. In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband, her 2 English Bulldogs (Darla and Buster), and traveling around North Carolina to watch her niece dance in competitions.

Sarah was previously a student of Art Education at UNCG but has come back to her roots here in Wilmington. She has become a part of the Cook Perio Team as of August 2022, and is eager to make the journey from diagnosis to scheduling treatment a smooth experience for everyone involved! Her main job is focusing on all the details involved in scheduling a surgery – from collecting and drafting forms to filing insurance claims and following up on patient care outside the practice – to allow the Doctors to treat patients with ease. Sarah is always ready to help with a smile on her face, even if her teeth are chattering from a slight breeze. In her free time, Sarah enjoys playing video games and making art, with a special passion for printmaking, as well as catch a few z’s on the couch with her Shi Tzu Abby.

Annalee joined Cook Perio in 2023 after 6 wonderfully crazy years at home with her kids. Originally from Lancaster, PA (which she affectionately refers to as Amish-Philly), she studied Chemistry at Virginia Tech and then moved to Wilmington in 2011. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, hanging in the backyard with her dogs, chickens, and ducks, and being as close to the ocean as possible. Fun fact: Annalee has written and published SIX novels that are based right here in Wrightsville Beach!
